What it requires
An industry-agreed question set and corresponding assessment standards for the pre-qualification of suppliers, developed and maintained by Build UK and assessed by Recognised Assessment Bodies — Achilles, Compliance Chain, Constructionline, CQMS, SCCS, Smas Worksafe and Veriforce CHAS. Build UK has published a guide to Version 5 and states that Version 6 will be published on 1 November 2026, when the competence-related questions currently in the Building Safety section change. It is not law; an evidence pack answers the version the assessment body is using on the audit date. WATCH — Version 6, 1 November 2026: documents citing Version 5 need review on that date.
