All 3 for £29Which kind do I need?
- RAMS
- You are about to start an activity and the main contractor wants the risk assessment and method statement first. One document per activity, written for the trade.
- Permits to work
- You are running the site and someone is about to do hot work, enter a confined space, dig, isolate, lift or work at height. The permit authorises it; the registers and appointments make it a system.
- Quality inspection checklists
- You are walking an area with an iPad and want to record that the work was built right — hold points before it is covered up, a named reviewer, the client's final sign-off.
- Site inspection records
- The registers a site keeps by law or by habit: scaffold and excavation inspections, LOLER, plant pre-use, fire, the weekly walk.
- COSHH assessments
- You use a substance — a dust, a resin, a fuel, a cleaner — and the law wants a written assessment of what it does to people and what you do about it. One per substance family.
- Toolbox talks
- You supervise a gang and need to brief them on one subject in ten minutes, with a record that it happened.
- Safe systems of work
- You are a small firm asked for a method statement for a common job and do not need a three-page RAMS. One page: the hazards, the sequence, the kit, the stop rules.
- Fire safety on site
- You run a site and the insurer's Joint Code wants a fire risk assessment, a fire plan, a marshal and a hot works register.
- Temporary works
- You have props, formwork, excavation support or a scaffold design and BS 5975 expects a coordinator, a brief, a category, a check and a release.
- Lifting operations
- You are lifting with a crane, a telehandler or a hoist and LOLER wants a plan by a competent person before the permit is issued.
- Traffic management
- Vehicles and people share your site and CDM regulation 27 wants the routes, the deliveries and the reversing planned and written down.
- Environmental management
- A planning condition or the client's consultant asks for a waste plan, a dust and noise plan and pollution prevention before you start.
- Occupational health
- Your people use vibrating tools, work in noise or dust, or work alone, and someone has asked what surveillance you run.
- Site forms
- You run the site. The signing-in sheet, the visitor book, the RAMS review, the diary, deliveries, plant, isolations, the accident book, meetings and the close-out — the site file.
