BS EN 1366-1:2014, BS EN 1366-2:2015, BS EN 1366-3:2021 and BS EN 1366-4:2021 — Fire resistance tests for service installations (ducts; fire dampers; penetration seals; linear joint seals)

Provisions the documents cite: whole standards — the test methods behind the classification a penetration seal, linear gap seal, fire damper or fire-resisting duct system carries; cited so that a site record names the tested configuration the installation must match

What it requires

The fire-resistance classification printed on a seal or damper data sheet is only valid for the configuration tested. The quality sheets ask the installer to record the tested detail reference for every seal, barrier and damper, and to install nothing outside it.

How this entry is kept current

  • Citation status: carried from drafting; a source check is in the monthly scan queue.
  • Watched by: check for amendment, withdrawal or a new edition at each monthly horizon scan.
  • Automated scan: no public page to watch; checked by hand in the monthly review.

Every source is re-checked monthly and the result is published in the scan log. A change that alters what a document should say raises a revision, and past buyers of that document are told.
