Provisions the documents cite: general clauses — preparation generally (substrates dry in depth, efflorescence removed, surface irregularities abraded, filling flush), coating generally (even, smooth, uniform colour, free from brush marks, sags and runs, cut in neatly), handling and storage (batch numbers, single batch per area), and the sample-area clause
What it requires
The standard specification work section for painting that UK project specifications are written to. The clause text quoted on the quality checklists was read from the NBS Building 2009 reference specification (pp. 183–186) and the Crown Paints M60 Master Specification (2021), which reproduce the general clauses; the current NBS Chorus text is subscription-only and was not read.
How this entry is kept current
- Citation status: checked against the source on the date shown.
- Watched by: manual check each scan.
- Automated scan: no public page to watch; checked by hand in the monthly review.
Every source is re-checked monthly and the result is published in the scan log. A change that alters what a document should say raises a revision, and past buyers of that document are told.
The 35 documents that cite it
Every KubitDocs document prints its statutory basis on the form itself, so the person signing can verify the citation rather than take our word for it.
